Evolution is Religion

How many of these statements have you heard? Evolution is not religious. Creation had to be removed from classrooms because it is religious. Science confirms evolution.

Before we can turn the tide of belief in evolution, we must understand that evolution is indeed religion. Evolution is absolutely not religion neutral and is actually a religious world view. When humans choose to deny God, they must also deny Creation. Evolution was created for this exact reason not because of science. The creators and defenders of evolution have written and said exactly this.

Romans 1:20-22 tells us, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools.”

Apostle Paul is confirming that all we need to do is “look around” to see the evidence for God. None of us have an excuse for not believing in Him. Sitting in nature watching the many creatures move about, hear the varied sounds and feel the unseen wind, it indeed takes an active denial to not see God. Apostle Paul then tells us what to expect. Once a human actively denies God, they become fools who profess to be wise. I offer Dr. Richard Dawkins, the most famous defender of evolution, as living proof.

Prof. Dawkins once said during a debate regarding the Big Bang theory, “… of course it is against common sense to believe you can get something from nothing. …But something pretty mysterious had to give rise to the origin of the universe.” As he begins to define “nothing” the audience starts laughing at him. He is shocked and asks “why is that funny?” The priest who is part of the debate says, “… it is pretty funny to be defining nothing.” You see, Prof. Dawkins is a very smart man but his denial of God has turned him into a fool that believes something came from nothing.

So when you hear “millions of years”, I want you to know this is a statement of faith in the religion of evolution and not statements of fact. Evolution vs. creation is not a science debate. It is a debate between which has authority: God’s Word or man’s word!
